Wuhan: Speed of Recovery Provides Impetus for Wuhan's Development

Since 2022, Wuhan's economy has recovered significantly and the pace of recovery has been further accelerated.

A considerable number of achievements have been made in the field of cultural tourism consumption. During the National Day holiday in 2022, a batch of consumer vouchers, fuel coupons, cultural tourism vouchers and sports vouchers have been successively released in Wuhan to energize the market. A total of 21.165 million tourists have visited the city and the tourism revenue has reached CNY 11.092 billion.

New business models like the nighttime economy are gradually accelerating their development. Among the 20 "Prosperous Nighttime Economy Cluster Demonstration Zones" selected in Hubei, four are the commercial projects based in Wuhan. Since 2020, Wuhan has been included in the top ten cities with the most influential nighttime economy in China for two consecutive years.

Opening up with a greater pace - From January to August in 2022, the "Changjiang" freight trains of the China-Europe Railway Express departed 406 times, with a total freight value of CNY 9.429 billion. The China-Europe Railway Express "Changjiang" has 38 stable cross-border transport routes, accessing 40 countries and regions and 108 cities in Eurasia.

All resource elements have been converging in Wuhan. This November, the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Convention on Wetlands and the 22th Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China will be held in Wuhan. By then, the world will once again focus on Wuhan.
