"CHINESE BRIDGE" SUMMER CAMP Held Between Students from the Chongqing University of Technology & South Africa University of Cape Town Confucius Institute

From June 22nd to 26th, 2023, the “Chinese Bridge” Summer Camp was held in Chongqing, participated by students from the Chongqing University of Technology & South Africa University of Cape Town Confucius Institute. In these 5 days, 17 teachers and students from South Africa University of Cape Town Confucius Institute have experienced Ba & Yu Culture and appreciated the unique culture of the Chongqing University of Technology.

With “People-to-People Cultural Exchanges and Mutual Learning & Evergreen Sino-African Friendship” as the theme, this “Chinese Bridge” Summer Camp consists of activities such as the Visit to the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Practice Base & New Energy Automobile Modern Industry School of the Chongqing University of Technology, Celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival, Watching the Giant Panda, Holding the Sino-African Youngsters Culture Salon, Experiencing the Traditional Competition, Discovering the Chongqing City Culture, etc.

“In these days, we have experienced the celebration of the Chinese traditional Dragon Boat Festival, watched the cute Giant Panda, met many new friends, and appreciated the unique culture of Chongqing city. I am very happy. We will learn Chinese hardly and we will come back to China at a chance. In the future, we will promote communication between young students from both countries.” said Dum'sile Althea Kubheka, the student delegate of the University of Cape Town.
