Eshan She Ethnic Township in Tonglu, Hangzhou Unveils New Cultural and Tourism Brand—'She Ethnic Township near West Lake'

On April 23, the cultural and tourism brand "She Ethnic Township near West Lake" and its logo were officially launched at Longfeng Ethnic Village, Eshan She Ethnic Township, Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

As the only ethnic minority village in Hangzhou, Eshan She Ethnic Township, more than 100 kilometers away from the West Lake, has gradually transformed itself into "China's First She Ethnic Township" from a poor and backward country since its establishment 35 years ago.

Home to traditional homestay villages such as Daijiashan and Xijinwu, Eshan She Ethnic Township also boasts the "She Ethnic Township on Cloud" cultural and tourism complex, Hongjie (Red Street) in She ethnic village, and "High Mountain and Flowing Water" outdoor feast, as well as witnesses the implementation of the Shanyinwu Art Creation Space, and research base on ethnic groups. Particularly, the variety show Our Inn was filmed here, drawing more people's attention to the township. At least 2,000 people visit the Longfeng Ethnic Village for sightseeing every week.

There will be diverse activities in the township, including skiing, hot spring, rock climbing, camping, sea of clouds viewing, fireworks show, study trips, parent-child tours and couple trips, said Lan Zhiwei, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Eshan She Ethnic Township, at the press conference.

"She Ethnic Township near West Lake" is a new regional brand created by the township focusing on promoting industrial development, coordinating cultural tourism resources and enhancing market promotion. Relying on its unique advantage of being located near the West Lake, Eshan She Ethnic Township will continue to promote this brand to Hangzhou and the Yangtze River Delta, and vigorously advance the development of agricultural, cultural and tourism industry, so as to build Eshan into a new destination for short-distance trips in the Yangtze River Delta.
