Chengdu will Resume Direct Flights to Colombo

Starting from July 3rd, Air China will resume direct flights from Chengdu to Colombo, Sri Lanka, with three round-trip flights per week. This will further promote cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between Chengdu and South Asia.

The direct flight ticket from Chengdu to Colombo has been launched for sale, and the first flight of the resumed flight will depart from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport on July 3rd. This route operates three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a one-way air flight time of five hours and 50 minutes. As of now, Air China has opened routes from Chengdu Tianfu to Frankfurt, London, Singapore, Kathmandu, Jakarta, Bangkok, Phuket, Seoul and other places.

Colombo is the largest city and commercial center in Sri Lanka, serving as the gateway to and from Sri Lanka. In recent years, Sichuan and Sri Lanka have had close exchanges and cooperation. Sri Lanka has established a consulate in Chengdu and continues to deepen cooperation in fields such as economy and trade, investment, education, and tourism.
