Yuhua District, Shijiazhuang: 'Night-time Economy' Boosts City Development

As night falls, people are gathering on the Locomotive Pedestrian Street, which is located within the Wanda Plaza commercial area in the Yuhua District, Shijiazhuang. Themed "a City on the Rails", the pedestrian street will be built into the first downtown tourism business district in Shijiazhuang supported by the bustling commercial area.

Citizens can have long chats over drinks with their friends, or take a leisurely stroll along the street to enjoy the delicious cuisine and delightful views there.

Different from the night markets of the past that were predominantly centered around catering businesses or focused solely on consumption, the night-time economy of Shijiazhuang nowadays has gradually integrated leisure shopping with culture, fitness, tourism and other business patterns.

In recent years, Yuhua District of Shijiazhuang has been promoting the upgrading of traditional commercial areas such as Wanda Plaza, Huaite and Ximei, while also supporting the building and development of emerging commercial areas with all efforts. As a result, a number of distinctive commercial blocks and internet-famous spots have emerged, becoming the unique night-time economy brands of the Yuhua District.

In the near future, Yuhua District will dedicate itself to the development of the urban economy, and keep expanding the night-time economy to achieve a night-time revenue accounting for over 35 percent of the total daily revenue.
