Jinan and Uzbekistan Truck and Bus Co., Ltd. Carry out Themed Exchange Activities

In order to strengthen the publicity work of the “five friendlies"—friendly cities, friendly schools, friendly enterprises, friendly media, and friendly people—and promote Jinan’s deep integration into the construction of the “Belt and Road”, in October 2023, Sun Shihui, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee, who is in charge of daily affairs, led a delegation to visit Uzbekistan successfully, visiting the factory of Uztruck & Bus Motors and holding a symposium. After the meeting, the delegation also presented Jinan's intangible cultural products—Jinan shadow puppets and Jinan paper cuttings—to overseas “friendly enterprises”.

During the visit, the delegation held a discussion with the Deputy General Manager of Uztruck & Bus Motors, Bekzod Murodulayev. Bekzod Murodurayev introduced the cooperation and development between the company and SinotruK, visited the factory of Uztruck & Bus Motors, and discussed how to use resources such as “friendly enterprises” to carry out international communication. In recent years, SinotruK has seized the “Belt and Road” strategic development opportunities, and while consolidating and expanding the advantages of traditional trade exports, international production capacity cooperation has also made breakthroughs. On January 17, 2020, SinotruK established a joint venture company, Uztruck & Bus Motors, in Uzbekistan through capital expansion. At present, the company has a production scale of 3,000 units per shift per year and has become a commercial vehicle production base for SinotruK, based in Uzbekistan and oriented to neighboring countries in Central Asia. It is a strategic “bridgehead” for SinotruK to fully participate in the “Belt and Road” construction of Central Asia.

During the visit, the delegation also presented Jinan intangible cultural heritage products—Jinan shadow puppets and Jinan paper cutting—to overseas “friendly enterprises”, which strongly boosted cultural exchanges and cooperation between Jinan and countries along the “Belt and Road”.

Deepen the close ties with the relevant cities of the “Belt and Road” countries in the fields of culture, enterprise cooperation, and other fields; jointly cast the dream of The Times in the wave of Daming Lake; and create a better future in the autumn.
