The Sino-German (European) SME Conference

The 2023 Sino-German (European) SME Communication and Cooperation Conference was recently held in Jinan. More than 350 guests from 17 countries and regions around the world participated in the conference, both online and offline. Jinan, with its high level of openness to the outside world, is attracting global attention.

At this critical moment when the city is striving to achieve its annual development goals, this international event holds great significance for Jinan. The Sino-German (European) SME Communication and Cooperation Conference has become increasingly prestigious over the past seven sessions, with higher standards, distinguished guests, improved event quality, and enhanced cooperation levels.

Historically, Jinan has maintained close exchanges with Germany in the fields of economy and culture, with deep historical roots. In recent years, as the pace of global industrial transformation and upgrading has accelerated, China has put forward the "Made in China 2025" strategy. In 2015, the predecessors of the Sino-German (European) SME Communication and Cooperation Conference, the China International Summit on Intelligent Manufacturing, and the China Intelligent Industry Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference were held in Jinan.

In 2017, Jinan High-Tech Zone's Lin'gang Economic Zone established the largest Sino-German (Jinan) Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperation Zone in northern China.

The previous conferences have built bridges and set examples for cooperation and exchanges between Sino-German and even Sino-European small and medium enterprises, expanding Jinan's circle of friends and increasing its internationalization.

Today, the Sino-German (European) SME Communication and Cooperation Conference has become a significant and high-level open cooperation platform for Jinan, Shandong, and even the whole country.
