30th China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair to Be Held from July 6 to 10

The 30th China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair (Lanzhou Fair), which has been approved by the Ministry of Commerce, is scheduled to take place in Lanzhou, Gansu from July 6 to 10. Hosted by the People's Government of Gansu Province and co-organized by 11 organizations including the ASEAN-China Center, the Lanzhou Fair aims to deepen economic and trade cooperation with Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) participating countries and regions. With the theme of "Sharing Opportunities, Seeking Common Development and Creating Prosperity," it also seeks to promote high-quality economic and social development in Gansu.

Gansu International Convention and Exhibition Center

This year's Lanzhou Fair reportedly has four notable features. First, it emphasizes international participation, inviting representatives from governments, international organizations, and renowned enterprises from BRI participating countries and regions. It will offer multi-level investment promotions and trade facilitation activities in various fields. Second, it puts a spotlight on targeted investment and key cooperation areas. Centering on industrial transfer and the strengthening, consolidation, and extension of industrial chains, it invites prominent enterprises to ensure clear and precise goals for investment directions and goals. Third, it highlights a specialized layout. Leveraging Gansu's unique resources, it sets up 15 specialized exhibition halls fully showcasing the province's strengths and potential across various sectors. Lastly, it focuses on brand development. By reflecting on its 30-year history, the fair spotlights Gansu's achievements in opening up and investment attraction, further boosting the fair's influence.

As of now, 23 countries (relevant government departments, foreign embassies and consulates in China, and business associations) and 18 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions have confirmed their participation in the fair, with an expected registration of over 40,000 guests. The main exhibition will be held at the Gansu International Convention and Exhibition Center, supplemented by additional venues in Lanzhou New Area and Zhangye City, ensuring the smooth operation of the event. The Lanzhou Fair will feature a rich array of activities including the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Competition, economic and trade exchanges and matchmaking, investment promotions, and the opening ceremony, totaling 29 major events.

The successful hosting of the 30th Lanzhou Fair will further enhance economic and trade cooperation between Gansu and its partners both domestically and internationally, injecting new momentum into the province's high-quality economic and social development.
