State Grid Jiangsu Ensures Smooth Operation of Festival

From August 8 to 11, the 14th Asia-Pacific Harmonica Festival was held in Jiangyin City, Wuxi. The event attracted 2,500 participants from countries and regions such as South Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore, all coming together for this harmonica art extravaganza. During the event, State Grid Wuxi Power Supply Company stationed 20 power protection personnel on-site to ensure a safe and stable power supply.

The Asia-Pacific Harmonica Festival is one of the largest harmonica events in the Asia-Pacific region and even the world, held every two years and hosted alternately by countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific. This year’s festival has significantly promoted the development of harmonica music in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.

As the host city for this year’s festival, Jiangyin boasts six harmonica manufacturing enterprises with complete production capabilities and their own brands. The harmonica has become an important cultural industry in the area.

In the development of the harmonica industry, State Grid Wuxi Power Supply Company has supported the industry by building and upgrading electrical facilities to meet the power needs of harmonica manufacturers. They have also assessed the power usage of various enterprises on-site, continuously provided energy-saving consulting services, and improved overall energy efficiency to help companies reduce costs and increase efficiency.

To ensure the smooth running of the Asia-Pacific Harmonica Festival, power protection personnel began a comprehensive inspection of the 110kV Huaxi Substation, which is involved in the event, from early July. During the festival, a comprehensive support team consisting of personnel from the power, fire, and medical sectors was stationed on-site to ensure the event’s success.
