Currently, during the critical period for winter wheat sowing, farmers in Xizhangru Village, Jincheng Town, Boai County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, China, are seizing the prime farming season to carry out plowing and sowing.
Recently, the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company organized staff to visit the fields in this village. They assessed the electricity needs for autumn sowing and inspected power supply lines and potential safety hazards to provide reliable electric power for the farmers’ autumn sowing.
To support the construction of high-standard farmland, the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company has strengthened government-enterprise coordination. The Company closely monitored the electricity usage information of high-standard farmland planning and construction projects, and focused on the key challenges in project construction. As a result, the Company has identified 38 implementation projects for high-standard farmland facilities. Moreover, 75 kilometers of 10 kV lines have been constructed and upgraded, and 396 transformer districts have been built and modified, adding a distribution capacity of 53,000 kVA. Additionally, personnel were organized to visit the fields to intensify inspections of agricultural-related lines and equipment. They conducted key visits to major grain producers, grain purchasing and processing sites within their service area to understand the electricity needs and difficulties faced by farmers during the autumn grain storage process in a timely manner.
Looking ahead, the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company will continue to innovate its working mechanisms, optimize service measures according to local conditions, and actively promote the construction of high-standard farmland facilities, thus providing robust electrical support to ensure the stability of food security.
