Three Projects by Tangshan Investment Holding (Culture and Tourism) Group Selected as 2025 Exemplary Urban Renewal Projects in Hebei Province

Recently, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Hebei Province officially released the second batch of exemplary urban renewal projects in the province. The Peiren Historical and Cultural Street Project, the Dachengshan “Mountain of Sports” Project, and the Tangshan Yan (Tangshan Cultural Square Business Center) Renovation Project—all implemented by Tangshan Investment Holding (Culture and Tourism) Group—were successfully selected.

Specifically, the Peiren Historical and Cultural Street Project was recognized in the category of preserving and passing on urban historical and cultural heritage; the Dachengshan “Mountain of Sports” Project was selected under the category of improving urban functions; and the Tangshan Yan (Tangshan Cultural Square Business Center) Renovation Project was included in the category of existing building renovation and reuse.

According to the Guiding Opinions of the General Office of the People's Government of Hebei Province on Implementing Urban Renewal Actions, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development organized the evaluation process for exemplary urban renewal projects in 2025. Through industry recommendations, expert evaluations, and on-site inspections, a total of 35 projects were selected across categories such as existing building renovation and reuse, renovation of aging urban residential communities, and urban function enhancement. The initiative aims to summarize and promote best practices in urban renewal, serve as a model and lead by example, and guide the high-quality implementation of urban renewal efforts across the province.
