Since the beginning of autumn, Zhejiang has continued to experience high temperatures. State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. has carried out special patrols on power supply equipment across the province.
To enhance the operation and maintenance capacity of the distribution network, the company has stepped up efforts in substation maintenance, line inspections, and infrared temperature monitoring. By combining "manual + intelligent" approaches, it has built a solid safety net for the power grid. Meanwhile, the seamless integration of "inspection + live-line work" ensures safe and reliable electricity supply for thousands of households.
Staff of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Conduct Infrared Temperature Measurement on Equipment
To strengthen the inspection and management around distribution transformer areas, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has established a special "equipment owner" patrol service team to reinforce proactive operation and maintenance. Leveraging new technologies and systems, the team carries out thorough inspections to detect hidden risks in public transformers and promotes environmental improvements in transformer areas. In Batou Industrial Park, Chihuai Town, Kaihua County, Quzhou City, staff used infrared thermometers to carefully examine transformers, observing their external condition and surface temperature changes. No visible damage was found, indicating sound equipment performance and a stable power supply for local enterprises.
To further optimize its services, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has taken measures such as refining grid operations, strengthening equipment patrols, and opening green service channels to ensure safe and reliable electricity supply for agricultural irrigation. In Kaihua, Quzhou, where demand for irrigation and drainage electricity has surged, the "Electricity Support for Agriculture" service team has been working in the fields to inspect irrigation lines and water pump facilities across the county. At the same time, relying on a digital platform, the team monitors load changes in real time and dynamically adjusts grid operation modes to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the peak irrigation period.
