The 2025 Paragliding Accuracy World Cup Superfinal Kicks Off in Jingmen, Hubei

On September 27, the 2025 Paragliding Accuracy World Cup Superfinals will be held at Shengjing Mountain Ecotourism Zone in Dongbao District, Jingmen City, Hubei Province. Forty-five top athletes from 19 countries and regions will gather in Jingmen to compete for the annual championship.

The Paragliding Accuracy World Cup is a CAT2 event certified by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI). Since 2023, the Superfinals have been held for three consecutive years at Shengjing Mountain in Dongbao, Jingmen, Hubei. This also marks the first time the event has been held in China.

Pilots soaring freely in the sky

The 2025 Paragliding Accuracy World Cup Superfinals is organized under the guidance of the FAI. It will be co-hosted by the Aviation Radio Model Sports Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China (ASMC), the Aero Sports Federation of China (ASFC), the Hubei Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Jingmen Municipal People's Government. The event is jointly organized by the Hubei Provincial Aviation Sports Management Center, the Aero Sports Association of Hubei Province, the Jingmen Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, and the Dongbao District People's Government of Jingmen City.

Prior to the Superfinal, the 2025 Paragliding Accuracy World Cup held four preliminary rounds in Thailand, Türkiye, Indonesia and Germany. The top ten teams in the rankings will qualify for the Superfinal at Shengjing Mountain in Dongbao District, Jingmen. The Superfinal will feature multiple rounds of competition to determine the top three winners in the teams, overall, women's, and youth categories. The athlete with the highest total points will be crowned the annual champion.

Paragliding athletes make precise landings

In recent years, Dongbao District has actively supported Jingmen's goal of becoming a nationally renowned sports, leisure, and tourism city. By hosting the Paragliding Accuracy World Cup Superfinals for three consecutive years, the district has built the "Romantic Paragliding at Shengjing Mountain" brand and enhanced the reputation and influence of the "China Paragliding Destination". During this year's event, Dongbao District will also host ten themed activities, including a music market, an agricultural products fair, aerial performances, an aviation equipment exhibition, industry-academia-research exchanges, fun sports games, and calligraphy, painting, and photography exhibitions. These activities will create a comprehensive experience combining "aerial competitions and ground exhibitions," perfectly showcasing the unique charm of "Honest Jingmen, Sacred Landscape in Dongbao".
