On November 6, State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company deployed more than 10 operational staff to upgrade and renovate the distribution network along Chengxi Avenue in parallel with the municipal road improvement project.
Operation staff upgrading and renovating power distribution facilities
The road is located near scenic spots such as Hexia Ancient Town in the Huai'an Ecological and Cultural Tourism Zone. As a major traffic artery and a key window showcasing the city's image, it has developed cracks, potholes, and other defects over years of service, affecting driving comfort and road safety. The local municipal authority has recently launched a road improvement and upgrading project.
As some distribution facilities such as electric poles and ring main units fall within the planned scope of the road upgrading project, State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company collaborated with the relevant government departments in the early stage to thoroughly reviewed the power demands along the route and devise a sound emergency power supply plan to ensure uninterrupted electricity during construction.
During the implementation, State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company built and upgraded 1.6 km of 10kV lines, installed four new ring main units, one 400 kVA box-type transformer, and 1,500 meters of fiber-optic communication cables, significantly enhancing the power grid's capacity and intelligence. Currently, with the coordinated advancement of both the road and power network projects, the city's development environment—and the electricity experience of residents, enterprises, and local businesses—has been further improved.
