Since the beginning of winter in northern regions, the temperature in Jining City, Shandong Province has dropped sharply because of the cold waves, leading to rising demand for electricity in heating. Taking people's well-being as a top priority, and staying warm as a major task, State Grid Jining Power Supply Company deploys ahead of time and implements precise policies. Through the triple guarantee of technology, comprehensive investigation, and emergency preparedness, it builds a winter power insulation barrier for residents and various users of the city's "coal to electricity" transformation, and interprets "China's warmth" with reliable power supply.
In Yunhe Huayuan Community, Liangbaosi Town, Jiaxiang County, a new rural community equipped with centralized heating, which accommodates 2,924 households, the intelligent power monitoring system is operating 24/7 without interruption. By using a remote monitoring platform, key data such as transformer load and cable temperature can be monitored in real-time to predict potential faults in advance. In response to the high load operation characteristics of the "coal to electricity" equipment during the cold weather, the company has implemented a "cloud+on-site" dual monitoring on the power supply facilities. More than 5,320 critical facilities such as transformers and switchgear have been inspected, and 147 hidden dangers such as aging lines and loose joints have been rectified to ensure the stable operation of clean energy heating equipment.
This "technology + operation and maintenance" supply guarantee model has become a crucial support in cope with extreme weathers. With the help of drone inspection, infrared temperature measurement and other technical means, each power supply station carries out special patrols and protection of lines with 10 kV and above in the area, focusing on identifying risk points such as icing and dancing. A total of 386 kilometers of line inspections have been completed, achieving early detection and disposal of hidden dangers.
In order to bridge the "last mile" of service, the company has optimized the response mechanism of the power supply service hotline, added special seats for cold wave supply guarantee, and realized the "instant handling" of electricity demands. At the same time, the "supply guarantee service station" has been established in the township power supply station, equipped with professional equipment such as emergency generators and cable fault detectors, to ensure timely on-site disposal in case of emergencies.
In the face of possible extreme weathers, the company has formulated the "Emergency Plan for Power Supply in Cold Wave Weather" in advance, establishing 30 emergency repair teams, reserving more than 2000 emergency supplies such as cables and transformers, and implementing a 24-hour duty system. By establishing a linkage mechanism with the meteorological department, real-time tracking of weather changes such as temperature, rain and snow, and dynamically adjusting the operation mode of the power grid, it ensures the balance between electricity supply and demand.
