Kaifeng, Henan: Dedicated Power Supply Services Ensure Uninterrupted Power for Greenhouse Vegetable Cultivation

On January 23, staff from the Western District Power Supply Center of the State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company visited the Huashengzhuang Vegetable Cultivation Base in Xijiao Town to conduct a specialized inspection of electrical circuits, ensuring uninterrupted power for winter production.

Currently, during the peak season for vegetable production and sales in winter, the Huashengzhuang Vegetable Cultivation Base has seen a surge in power demand for temperature control, irrigation, lighting, and other equipment, leading to increased circuit loads. Issues such as aging circuits or loose connections could easily cause malfunctions affecting vegetable growth and farmers' income.

To guarantee safe and stable power supply for the base, the State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company organized technical personnel to carry out the specialized inspection. Divided into teams, staff conducted comprehensive examinations of electrical equipment such as distribution boxes, power supply lines, and irrigation pumps within the greenhouses. They focused on checking whether circuit insulation layers were damaged, wiring terminals were securely fastened, and leakage protectors were sensitive and effective. For identified hazards such as loose circuit connections, they carried out immediate tightening repairs. Additionally, they provided farmers with detailed explanations on electricity safety precautions in winter and shared knowledge on daily equipment maintenance.
