Vibrant Folk Event Held in Wudang District, Guiyang

As the Chinese New Year approaches, a lively New Era Civilization Practice event titled "Celebrating the New Year in the Countryside—Our Festival · Spring Festival" was held in Wanggang Village, Xinpu Buyi Ethnic Township, Wudang District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province.

Known as the "No.1 Village for 'Paotang'" (a traditional pork feast), Wanggang Village welcomed visitors with its most distinctive ethnic hospitality.

The event featured a vibrant array of activities including traditional rice cake pounding, bamboo pole dancing, hiking, folk garden parties, and special cultural performances. The venue was filled with continuous laughter, showcasing the rich local traditions.

As night fell, a bonfire was lit. Participants joined hands in a joyful dance, and a fireworks display lit up the village, drawing a warm conclusion to the event. This cultural feast, centered around the traditional Spring Festival and folk experiences, brought people closer together as they appreciated customs, savored the festive atmosphere, and celebrated in unison.
