State Grid Wuxi Power Supply Company Ensures Stable Power Supply for Spring Festival Travel Hubs

To guarantee safe and stable power supply during the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush, State Grid Wuxi Power Supply Company has launched a dedicated initiative to secure electricity for transportation hubs. Comprehensive inspections of power facilities at major stations including Wuxi Station and Wuxi East Station were carried out in advance, and a coordinated mechanism with the railway authorities was established to ensure high-standard power supply reliability.

Prior to the travel season, the company organized technical teams to conduct systematic health checks on critical infrastructure at transportation hubs, including power distribution rooms, supply lines, and backup power systems. The inspections covered main power sources, transformers, low-voltage distribution systems, and other key components. Tailored "one station, one strategy" power protection plans were developed, with clear emergency response procedures. In response to the surge in passenger flow and rising power load during the holiday period, the company proactively rectified equipment defects and tested backup channels to ensure robust operation of power systems at all stations.

Since the start of the Spring Festival travel rush, Wuxi Power Supply Company has maintained round-the-clock information exchange and load data sharing with the railway department. Dedicated personnel have been stationed at the power distribution rooms of transportation hubs to conduct joint inspections with railway staff, enabling rapid response and immediate handling of any irregularities.

Digital technologies played a pivotal role in this round of power security efforts. Video monitoring of power transmission corridors and autonomous drone patrol systems actively detect and issue warnings against external damage risks, while load forecasting algorithms enable precise dispatching adjustments.  Technological empowerment has significantly enhanced the precision of power supply assurance.
