Alibaba’s ABot-PhysWorld Tops WorldArena Benchmark

On April 15, ABot-PhysWorld, a world model developed by Alibaba, has ranked first on WorldArena, a leading benchmark for world models.

The model demonstrates outstanding capabilities in deep understanding of physical laws and long-range dynamic prediction. Unlike most models that only generate short, static or superficial videos, ABot-PhysWorld can accurately forecast object trajectories under complex interactions—including sliding, toppling, stacking and fluid dynamics—while preserving consistent multi-step causal logic.

Industry observers say that this reasoning-enabled generation capability brings practical value to task planning, anomaly prediction and autonomous decision-making.

ABot-PhysWorld was developed by Amap (AutoNavi), an Alibaba subsidiary. In February, Amap unveiled two foundational ABot models: ABot-M0 for embodied manipulation and ABot-N0 for embodied navigation. ABot-PhysWorld is one of the ABot series models.

Amap officials noted the company has invested heavily in embodied intelligence and is developing hardware such as quadruped and humanoid robots. Its first quadruped robot is expected to launch soon.
