Recently, the Dongying City Image Video Screening Event, themed "Ecological Dongying, Where the Yellow River Meets the Sea," has begun its preview screenings in South Korea. The first leg of the event has visited multiple higher education institutions, including Kunsan National University in Jeollabuk-do, Kyonggi University in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and the University of Utah Asia Campus in Incheon. Using visual storytelling as a bridge, the event showcases the unique charm of the Yellow River Estuary to faculty and students across South Korean universities.
Targeting "Gen Z" audiences, this event enables faculty and students at South Korean universities to experience Dongying virtually through special themed screenings and group viewing sessions. The screening lineup features a curated selection of high-quality visual content, including Dongying's city image promotional video, footage of the Yellow River Delta Wetlands, and highlights from the bird-watching season. It showcases the spectacle of the Yellow River meeting the sea, the breathtaking sight of thousands of birds soaring across the wetlands, and the city's modern urban landscape, vividly telling the stories of ecological conservation and urban development in the Yellow River Delta.
By adopting a visual language that resonates deeply with young people, the event has built a bridge for cross-cultural exchange and effectively conveyed Dongying's city image. Faculty and students at the South Korean universities also praised the ecological beauty of the Yellow River Estuary as well as the profound cultural heritage of Dongying.
The launching ceremony for Dongying City Image Video Screening Event will be held shortly. Following this, the event will visit more than 30 schools across nearly 15 South Korean cities, including Seoul, Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon and Jeju Island, deepening Sino-ROK cultural exchanges through diverse formats.
