"The Silk Road is long, but together we go far; cooperation paves the way for mutual benefit." Embracing this spirit, the 10th Silk Road International Exposition and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China (the "Silk Road Expo") officially opened at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center on the morning of May 21.
As a centerpiece of this year's international brand enhancement efforts, the "Ambassadors' Tour of the Silk Road Expo" was launched alongside the opening ceremony. Diplomatic envoys—including ambassadors, ministers, and minister-counselors from Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) partner countries such as the Maldives, Vietnam, Mongolia, Côte d'Ivoire, Malaysia, Iraq, the Philippines, and Armenia—attended the event to witness the Expo's historic entry into its second decade.

Under the theme "New Opportunities for Silk Road Integration, A New Chapter in Open Cooperation," this year's Expo features six major exhibition zones. These include Silk Road Premium Products (National Pavilions), Silk Road Premium Products (Brand Pavilions), Inter-Provincial Cooperation, Aviation and Low-Altitude Economy, Intelligent Automotive Manufacturing, and Port-Trade-Industry Integration. Together, these zones offer a comprehensive look at the milestones of the BRI while providing a robust platform for global economic and trade synergy.
Rooted in the principle of deepening "people-to-people bonds," the "Ambassadors' Tour" leverages the unique vantage points of foreign diplomats to identify new areas for international cooperation. The initiative aims to transform the short-term momentum of the trade fair into long-term, sustainable cooperation mechanisms, ensuring the Silk Road Expo serves as a vital bridge between China and the global community.

During an afternoon tour of the exhibition zones, the diplomatic delegation got a firsthand look at the Expo's core achievements. The envoys highly praised the event's professional and international standards, noting that over the past decade, the Silk Road Expo has evolved into a flagship platform for BRI economic cooperation—playing an indispensable role in fostering shared development and mutual prosperity among participating nations.

The "Ambassadors' Tour" is more than a high-level visit; it is an innovative practice in international communication. Throughout the event, the diplomats are touring pavilions, participating in keynote sessions, and visiting local enterprises. By utilizing their international perspectives, the initiative broadcasts the strategic platform value of the Expo and Shaanxi's sincere commitment to global openness. As Fazeel Najeeb, Ambassador of the Maldives to China, remarked: "We are very interested in China's new energy and modern agriculture industries. We sincerely hope that excellent enterprises from China and Shaanxi will come to the Maldives to invest, and we will provide all the relevant facilitation measures."
As the Silk Road Expo embarks on its second decade, global attention remains fixed on Shaanxi. In the coming days, the diplomatic delegation will attend key events such as the "Export to China · Along the Silk Road" Overseas Premium Products Matchmaking Conference and conduct field research at the China-Europe Freight Train Assembly Center. These efforts are designed to ensure that practical Sino-foreign cooperation takes root, injecting fresh momentum into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
