June 5 marks the 54th World Environment Day. In Shaanxi, a green energy revolution is unfolding. State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Company Limited is accelerating the transition toward green energy through technological innovation and corporate responsibility, contributing to the global movement toward low-carbon development.

In Liujiawa Village, Mizhi County, northern Shaanxi, blue solar panels atop 45 households are "planting" sunlight to harvest wealth. The project generates an average of 3.85 million kWh annually, saving 1,164 tons of standard coal and reducing CO2 emissions by 2,568 tons. Villagers are delighted: "As long as the sun shines, we are generating electricity. We earn an income without spending a single penny." Meanwhile, the "Photovoltaic + Harmonious Countryside" project in Sanyuan County, Xianyang, generated 1.98 million kWh in its first year, saving 570 tons of standard coal and reducing CO2 emissions by 1,557 tons. These two "solar farms" echo each other, not only boosting household incomes but also helping to preserve our clear blue skies.

Green electricity must not only be generated but also reliably transmitted and efficiently utilized. Local power supply companies are actively inspecting photovoltaic projects within their jurisdictions to ensure that all eligible green power is seamlessly connected to the grid. Meanwhile, utility staff are visiting communities to distribute safety leaflets and share energy-saving tips, making energy conservation and carbon reduction tangible daily habits for every household, and ensuring that the fruits of green energy development reach every corner of the province.
