State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power: Guarding Youthful Vision, Shielding Bright Futures

On the occasion of the 31st National Eye Care Day, State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power, in collaboration with local medical institutions, visited the "Power of Love Classroom" at Zhongyuan School in Jing'an County, Yichun. Together, they launched a public welfare volunteer initiative themed "Dedicate Brightness, Illuminate Dreams" to support and protect the vision health of young students.

During the event, power grid volunteers delivered engaging science popularization lectures to promote healthy vision habits. They guided children to correct improper reading and writing postures, helping them foster a proactive mindset toward eye care in a warm and interactive atmosphere. Students eagerly raised their hands to ask questions and participate. "I never knew that tilting my head while writing or reading in bed could hurt my eyes so much. I will definitely take good care of my eyesight from now on!" one student shared. Such heartfelt reflections from the children highlighted the profound impact of the session.

Leveraging professional medical resources, the accompanying medical team provided free specialized services, including vision screening and refraction tests, for over 50 students and teachers. They meticulously screened for potential vision hazards and accurately documented the vision test results of every individual. Furthermore, based on each individual's vision condition, the team offered one-on-one expert advice covering personalized vision correction, daily eye care routines, sleep schedule adjustments, and scientific eye habits. This approach effectively ensured early detection, early warning, and early intervention of vision issues, offering comprehensive protection for the faculty and students' eyesight.

Moving forward, State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power will continue to roll out diverse public welfare services, championing the physical and mental health of the youth.
