In Huangshi, persistent high temperatures have triggered a sharp increase in the local power load. To ensure a safe and reliable power supply for college entrance examination sites, State Grid Huangshi Power Supply Company has deployed air-ground integrated intelligent inspection equipment powered by a large AI model, providing real-time alerts and rapid response to potential hazards on power transmission lines.

Near the Daye No. 1 Middle School exam site, an inspection drone took off from a drone dock to conduct an autonomous, detailed inspection along the local distribution line. Leveraging autonomous flight and infrared temperature measurement, power operation and maintenance personnel are conducting a comprehensive scan monitoring of over 70 contact points along a 5 km stretch of the line.

To leave nothing to chance, the power department has equipped every exam site with emergency backup systems. At the Huangshi No. 2 Middle School exam site, power operation and maintenance personnel moved a 400 kVA emergency power generation vehicle onto the campus, connected it to the distribution line, and synchronized it with an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for a coordinated response. In the event of power fluctuations, the UPS provides seamless switching while the emergency power generation vehicle ensures a continuous power supply, guaranteeing zero interruption and no equipment restart.

The local power department has dispatched drones for 86 inspection sorties and deployed inspection robots to monitor power transmission lines across 17 exam sites in the Huangshi area. Additionally, 52 emergency repair teams are on standby, with UPS power and emergency power generation vehicles covering all sites. These dual safeguards for pre-exam inspection and support during the examination are designed to ensure a stable power supply throughout the college entrance examination period.
