Huanggang, Hubei: Powering Young Hearts and Safeguarding Growth Together

On the morning of August 5, State Grid Huanggang Power Supply Company, in collaboration with the Huanggang Social Welfare Center, carried out a civic practice event themed "Powering Young Hearts, Safeguarding Growth Together." Accompanied by their teachers and electric power volunteers, 15 children from the center visited the company's New Era Civilization Practice Station, spending an enriching and joyful summer day.

Electric power volunteers guided the children through various functional areas, explaining the generation, transmission, and safe use of electricity in easy-to-understand language, while introducing daily service procedures such as self-service payment and business handling.

In the practical electric shock first-aid class, volunteers focused on explaining the key steps of emergency rescue techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and conducted live demonstrations using medical mannequins. The children eagerly stepped forward to try it themselves, mastering basic self-protection and emergency rescue skills through hands-on practice, which further enhanced their summer safety awareness and self-protection abilities.

In the science exploration session, volunteers led the children to explore the "mysteries of electricity" together and explained the basic principles of electricity. Under the guidance of the volunteers, the children built hand-crank generators by themselves. When the small light bulbs lit up, the children cheered with excitement, their eyes filled with pride. The seeds of science were quietly planted through hands-on practice.

Based on the collected list of summer "micro-wishes," the company prepared and presented the children with thoughtful gift packages, conveying the warmth and care of the company.

Moving forward, State Grid Huanggang Power Supply Company will continue to deepen the development of its New Era Civilization Practice Station, regularly carry out volunteer activities to care for minors, fulfill its corporate social responsibility through concrete actions, and safeguard children's healthy growth with dedication and care.
