Reliable Power Supply Fuels Growth of Traditional Chinese Medicinal Herb Industry in Jiaozuo, Henan

Recently, staff from State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company carried out comprehensive electrical safety inspections at a traditional Chinese medicinal herb processing enterprise in Nanlinquan Village, Zhaohe Town, Jiaozuo, Henan Province. They checked steaming equipment, automated packaging lines, power distribution cabinets and cold storage facilities, to ensure reliable power supply for the deep processing of Huaiyao.

Huaiyao, a distinctive medicinal herb with regional advantages in Jiaozuo, is a valuable local agricultural resource. The enterprise runs multiple modern processing lines, where all procedures — from herb steaming and sorting to packaging — rely entirely on electricity, making stable power supply critical to its operation.

The company has established dedicated service ledgers for each enterprise and maintains regular on-site visits. Inspections focus on wiring for high-power drying and steaming equipment, as well as residual current protection devices. Staff also assist in rectifying identified electrical hazards on site, and provide factory workers with practical guidance on safe power use and equipment operation and maintenance.
