In 2021, the China-Europe Railway Express (Chengdu-Chongqing) achieved substantial growth, with more than 4,800 trains and over 400,000 TEUs transported. The line can reach more than 100 European cities.

Since its opening in 2021, a total of more than 18,000 China-Europe trains have been operated between Chengdu and Chongqing, and the import and export trade volume has exceeded 700 billion yuan. The China-Europe Railway Express (Chengdu-Chongqing) boasts the highest value, the best supply structure, the most extensive regional cooperation and the most stable transportation among all the China-Europe Railway Express. Chengdu and Chongqing are working together to build the China-Europe Railway Express (Chengdu-Chongqing) into the first brand of the China Railway Express.
