On July 6, the Index System for the Common Prosperity of Ethnic Villages, the first of its kind in China, made its debut in E'shan She Ethnic Township, Tonglu, Zhejiang, drawing the great attention of the society.

As one of the 18 ethnic townships in Zhejiang Province, E'shan She Ethnic Township in Tonglu County emerged as the "Most Famous She Ethic Township in China" in 2019. Guided by the development goals of the first phase (2021-2025) of the Implementation Plan of Zhenjiang Province for the High-quality Development and Establishment of Demonstration Zone for Common Prosperity, and centering on six major aspects: culture of new era, social environment, quality and efficiency of industry, income of residents, quality of public services, and beauty and livability of environment, the People's Government of E'shan She Ethnic Township and the Tonglu County Market Regulation Bureau have jointly quantified 22 secondary indices of common prosperity through scoring and also identified 76 evaluation indices for common prosperity, thus providing standards for the ethnic villages of E'shan She Ethnic Township to follow as they pursue common prosperity, as well as a standardized reference for other ethnic villages to achieve common prosperity.

In order to create a benchmark for the common prosperity of ethnic villages, E'shan She Ethnic Township, guided by the overall development philosophy of "introduction of projects plus culture of She ethnic townships plus mechanisms for common prosperity", strives to reshape the "three major systems": industry, culture and common prosperity, and explore a new path for the integration of agriculture, culture and tourism, thus constantly expanding the channel for E'shan to translate its beautiful countryside into "beautiful economy".

At the symposium, representatives from 14 townships and sub-districts in Tonglu County conducted a free discussion on how to achieve common prosperity and development, and shared their own typical experience and practice achievements concerning the rural revitalization and common prosperity.
