The 22nd Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China to Be Held in Wuhan From November 15 to 17

From November 15 to 17, 2022, the 22nd Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China (hereinafter referred to as "the Conference") will be held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The theme of this conference is "Overseas Chinese Together Build the Future". At present, more than 500 overseas representatives from 49 countries and regions have signed up to participate in the Conference.

The Conference is an important activity for the overseas Chinese community. It has been held in Wuhan for 21 consecutive sessions, serving as an important platform for connecting with overseas Chinese, assisting overseas Chinese in innovation and entrepreneurship, and attracting investment.

According to statistics, during the previous Conferences, more than 2,600 projects have been signed and introduced, with a total contracted investment amount of more than CNY 560 billion. A total of more than 20,000 overseas Chinese professionals, overseas Chinese businessmen and other representatives from 101 countries and regions have been invited to attend the previous sessions.

This year's Conference will consist of the opening ceremony, the Wuhan Forum, the 9th "Huachuang Cup" Entrepreneurship Competition, and 21 special events focusing on international talent exchanges, technological innovation cooperation, international marketing of the products of Hubei Province, etc.

The session this year will also include the "Stories of Intangible Cultural Heritage Along Yangtze River" on-site cultural exhibition for the first time. Through exhibitions and performances, 10 intangible cultural heritage items with strong local characteristics will be presented to the guests so that they can fully appreciate the unique charm of Jingchu culture and deepen their understanding of Hubei.
