Offline Participants Share Stories of Confucius Through Interactions With Online Viewers

On November 19, "Hi, Confucius" International Online Influencers' Study Tour in Nishan was successfully concluded in Qufu, Jining, Shandong Province, the hometown of Confucius. The study tour took place both online and offline, providing netizens from far with an opportunity to enter the world of Confucius.

Participating in the study tour with Chinese internet influencers were young people from Kenya, Myanmar, Nigeria, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Together they visited the Kong Family Mansion, the Temple of Confucius, Confucius Museum, the Yan Family Mansion, the Temple of Yan Hui, and Nishan Sacred Land, and learned about traditional Chinese culture in an immersive way.

Shamsiddin Tolliboev from Uzbekistan was attracted by the tall ancient trees. "They have stood the test of time. Just imagine the stories they could tell us,” he said. Lydia Nduta Njoroge from Kenya remarked that "the sleeves of Hanfu are so beautiful when being waved. They remind me of a line from a contemporary poem, which reads: 'Gently I flick my sleeves, not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away.'"

Members of the study tour also launched live streaming, where they shared their tour with online influencers from other countries through overseas social media platforms. Through live streaming, the participating online influencers were able to share some special moments from their study tour with overseas netizens in real-time and present the stories of Confucius. The four live-streaming sessions received more than 3.4 million views in total.
