Located in Qingjiang Floodgate Area in Qingjiangpu District of Huai'an City, Yu Wharf Food Street covers an area of about 5.33 hectares, which is a significant part of the National Culture Park of the Grand Canal and an important symbol of the Grand Canal culture in Huai'an City.

Qingjiangpu District has a history of over 600 years with rich historical and cultural resources. Highlighted as cultural symbols of Huai'an, the local government developed the Yu Wharf Food Street by combining the rich historical and cultural resources with modern business patterns.

Restaurants of Huaiyang cuisine are available in the Yu Wharf Food Street, delicacies from other parts of China and worldwide are served as well. A batch of leisure facilities with distinctive features were settled in the Yu Wharf Food Street, including a hall for Huaiyang cuisine introducing and tasting, open-air food stalls, Ximalaya Bookstore (Yu Wharf), and a space for music appreciation. Yu Wharf Food Street has become a unique landmark integrating canal culture, business patterns, and tourist attractions, while promoting consumption along the Grand Canal Cultural Belt.
Now, Yu Wharf Food Street is an important demonstration block along the Grand Canal in Huai'an, but also the most beautiful area in Qingjiangpu District that displays the harmonious integration of canal culture and local food culture.
