Seeing How Modern World Meets Ancient Tradition: Foreign Internet Vloggers Explore Hefei

On October 26, the second day of the "Daka China - Telling Anhui's Stories Well and Conveying Voices of Hefei" International Communication Event (hereinafter referred to as the "Event"), a group of foreign Internet vloggers set off to discover more of Hefei.

The event coincided with the 6th World Voice Expo, which happened to be taking place in Hefei and gave all the foreign participants an opportunity to feel the charm of technology.

"A lot of companies are working on robots, AI, and semiconductors, and that's great because these are the things that drive a country forward," remarked Lee Barrett, a British vlogger who visited Hefei for the first time.

Anhui Province's Easpeed Technology Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise based in Hefei. The company is known for its interactive holographic imaging technology, which has filled an important gap in the Chinese market. There, the foreign participants delved into the development path of the virtual reality industry.

Xiaolingnan Scenic Area is situated in the heart of Shushan District's rural revitalization demonstration zone and is renowned as one of Hefei's most important internet-famous destinations.

Nguyen Trang Thi and Duong Duc Tam, two vloggers from Vietnam, took photos in front of some art installations in the scenic area. Nguyen commented that "The beauty of Xiaolingnan Scenic Area in the golden autumn is just breathtaking. The atmosphere is just indescribable." Meanwhile, Duong praised the development model in the scenic area. "I think the lively atmosphere of the place is remarkable and would love to see Vietnam try to develop its rural areas through promoting tourism and other means for the benefit of us all."

During their stay in Shishugang Township in Feixi County, the vloggers were treated to special performances that included Anhui Dagu storytelling, colorful boat rides, plate dances, and Yuanlianxiang dance.

Maximiliano Javier Carrera Camacho, an Internet vlogger from Mexico, took the initiative to teach local villagers some conversational Spanish. "Hefei is an amazing city. I really hope to get to know it better," he said.
