On the west side of Dongcun Town's main street, six brand-new charging piles are neatly arranged, waiting for acceptance and power-up. After a field survey and acceptance, Hu Yongjie helped the project manager Hou Shuhao initiate an application on the "State Grid Online" App. "Someone will contact you within two days to install the meter and connect the wiring, and it will be ready for use immediately," Hu Yongjie said.

"Dongcun Town's leading industries are board processing and mechanical manufacturing, with many surrounding units and enterprises. Currently, there are 23 charging stations and a total of 62 charging piles. "Hu Yongjie said.

To support the promotion of new energy vehicles in rural areas, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company has actively cooperated with township governments to gradually build a small-scale, widely distributed, and interconnected rural charging network, and has opened a green channel for application and electricity connection.

In addition, the demand for personal charging stations has significantly increased. In the first half of 2024, Dongcun Power Supply Station alone received 120 residents' applications for charging station installations, a 158% increase compared to the same period in 2022. With the "State Grid Online" App, customers can submit their charging station installation applications online while purchasing a car, achieving one-stop service.
