The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company Ensures Reliable Power Supply for Tourist Attractions

　　Ahead of the recent National Day holiday, which saw a significant surge in tourists, staff members from the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company conducted comprehensive inspections of the distribution lines and electrical equipment at shops in the Ming and Qing Ancient Street Scenic Area in Xiangcheng County, Xuchang City, Henan Province, to ensure that the ancient street remained brightly lit throughout the festival.

　　To support the development of the local cultural tourism industry, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company developed a customized power supply plan for the Ming and Qing Ancient Street, tailored to its specific needs during the restoration. The plan aimed to preserve the street's spatial layout while ensuring a reliable and consistent power supply. The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company undertook a comprehensive upgrade of the ancient street’s power distribution network, including the renovation of three aging transformer stations, the installation of two new transformers, and the upgrade of 2.3 kilometers of low-voltage cables. This project benefited more than 1,500 businesses and households, with all cables relocated underground.

　　In anticipation of the National Day holiday tourism peak, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company took early action by organizing specialized personnel to assess the power needs of businesses such as restaurants, guesthouses, and night-hour attractions in the ancient street area. They conducted inspections of key power lines, checked electrical equipment, and monitored operational status. Through thorough pre-holiday inspections and the rectification of hidden hazards, the company enhanced the reliability of the power infrastructure. At the same time, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company strengthened its on-duty workforce and developed comprehensive emergency response plans to ensure rapid resolution of any power issues, thereby providing a reliable electricity supply to the scenic areas during the National Day holiday.
