On April 18, the FEI CSI2*2025 3rd Hangzhou (Tonglu) International Show Jumping Competition officially opened. The three-day event features seven competition levels and brings together over 400 rider-horse pairs from 17 countries and regions, with more than 260 horses taking part.

As one of the most influential equestrian events of 2025, the competition continues the high standards and international prestige of its previous editions. It marks the first FEI two-star equestrian event held in China in 2025 and the highest-level equestrian competition hosted in Tonglu since the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou.
The opening day featured exciting performances in the 0.60M Optimum Time Competition and 1.10M Team Competition Against the Clock. Riders demonstrated agility and skill, launching into jumps and soaring over each obstacle in perfect sync with their horses.
Exhibits in the Horse Culture Museum
On the same day, the "Yuexianghui" side event was held at the Tonglu Equestrian Center in Hangzhou, where the Horse Culture Museum was inaugurated. Adopting an integrated model of "exhibition, education, tourism, and competition," the museum promotes the dynamic preservation of equestrian culture. Empowered by digital innovations, it contributes to positioning Hangzhou as an international hub for major sporting and convention events. Additionally, six equestrian industry partners presented promotions focusing on themes such as Hangzhou's culture and tourism, Tonglu's culture and tourism, China-France promotion and matchmaking fair, Shanghai Shi Chen, the hiking festival, and sponsorship opportunities for the fourth edition of the competition.
The International Equestrian Talent Fair was also held during the competition, offering one-stop recruitment services for equestrian clubs and industry employers seeking top-tier professionals. (Text/Photo by Wang Shanting and Shan Jiaming)
