Over 2,400 trainees from various countries have been trained, and five joint laboratories along with ten overseas agricultural technology demonstration parks have been established. On June 12, marking the sixth anniversary of the proposal to establish the SCO Demonstration Base for Agricultural Technology Exchange and Training, 16 young delegates from SCO member states visited Yangling to witness the fruitful outcomes of the base’s development.

SCO young delegates get firsthand knowledge of the features of the "Xinong 926" wheat variety
New corn and wheat varieties like "Liangyu" and "Liangke"—with notable advantages in density tolerance, lodging resistance, and disease resistance—drew special attention from Saghir Afeera from Pakistan. Saghir Afeera commented, "These experiences effectively provide SCO member states with high-yield, stable seed sources and technical solutions for sustainable agriculture."
SCO young delegates explore vegetable planting modes in a plant factory
In plant factories, vegetables are able to grow without soil or sunlight, which completely changed the SCO young delegates’ perspective on traditional agriculture. Zahid Muhammad from Pakistan marveled at this innovation, saying, "Science and technology have revolutionized agriculture. Yangling offers a 'Chinese answer' to the future of agricultural development."
SCO young representatives visit Wangshang Village
Yangling's technologies also contribute to rural development. A once waterlogged area has been transformed into an ecological wetland. Wangshang Village, supported by technological advances, has developed industries like kiwifruit farming and become a model village for rural revitalization.
From "seeds" to "technology" and ultimately to "results," Mambetova Elnura from Kyrgyzstan expressed her admiration, saying, "In Yangling, I see the promising future of agricultural cooperation among SCO member states."(Text/photo by Chen Nan)
