Green Energy Boosts Production Growth and Upgrades in Hubei Tongcheng's Mica Industry

"The 3D laser engraving robots on the production line are extremely sensitive to power supply quality, and we must keep voltage fluctuations within ±5%," said staff members from the Shinan Power Supply Office of the State Grid Xianning Power Supply Company, who recently visited the production workshop of Hubei Zhongtian Mica Products Co., Ltd. to conduct a comprehensive inspection of its electrical equipment.

In the production workshop, workers operate machines to feed mica paper into high-temperature pressing platforms. After being processed at 270°C, mica sheets take shape rapidly before being transferred to the intelligent robotic engraving line for precision finishing.

The Tongcheng County Mica Electronic Material Industrial Cluster is one of China's national-level characteristic industrial clusters for SMEs. In August 2024, Hubei Zhongtian Mica Products Co., Ltd. commissioned eight 3D laser engraving robot production lines, each with a power rating of 15 kilowatts and strict requirements for power supply stability. The workshop now produces 26.5 tons per day, generating over one million yuan in output value.

The "Urban Socket" power supply model—innovatively implemented by the Tongcheng County Power Supply Company in the Shinan Gauze Town Grinding Industrial Park—has provided strong support for enterprise development. In the first three quarters of this year, the installed capacity for 10 kV and above connection applications in Hubei Province increased by 22.8% year-on-year. The company said it would continue optimizing the electricity business environment to provide more reliable power guarantees for local industrial transformation and upgrading.
