On February 22, the "Enjoy the Chinese Festival" Dongying Spring Festival Folk Culture Exchange Event, themed "Lantern Festival Blooms in Seoul," was held in Seoul, South Korea, marking the start of a series of Lantern Festival folk culture exchange activities organized by Dongying City in South Korea.
At the event, a special showcase of Dongying highlighted the city's diverse charm in the Yellow River Delta, giving Korean visitors a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of Dongying.

Closely following the theme of the Lantern Festival, this event created a strong festive atmosphere. Through rich folk cultural elements, it carefully interpreted the meanings of the Lantern Festival, which include "praying for blessings, good fortune, reunion, and harmony," while also introducing traditional Chinese New Year customs, allowing Korean visitors to fully appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
The folk culture sharing session sparked great interest among the Korean visitors.

The event also featured a Dongying-themed exhibition of cultural and creative products and intangible cultural heritage, showcasing distinctive exhibits such as The Art of War, Qibi brushes, and paper-cut works. Each exhibit incorporated Dongying elements, attracting Korean visitors to stop and interact or learn more, with many expressing strong admiration for Dongying, a city rich in historical heritage and natural beauty.

Around the Lantern Festival, Dongying will also hold a number of Lantern Festival-themed cultural exchange activities in South Korea.
