To celebrate the 11th World Wildlife Day, the State Grid Wenzhou Power Supply Company launched a series of themed activities across its affiliated units, integrating reliable power services with wildlife conservation to advance green development.

As one of China's first national marine nature reserves, Nanji Islands boasts exceptional ecological resources. It serves as a vital habitat and stopover for hundreds of migratory bird species, including the Chinese Crested Tern, earning a reputation as a "Paradise for Birds". On February 27, the Nanji Power Supply Station of State Grid Pingyang Power Supply Company conducted an ecological protection campaign, integrating wildlife conservation awareness into routine line inspections and maintenance work into its routine inspections and maintenance.

"The Chinese Crested Tern around our islands is a nationally protected Class I species, known as the 'Mythical Bird'. Protecting its habitat is safeguarding the ecological future of the island." Huang Yigui, an employee of the company, said this while inspecting aging residential circuits and replacing damaged sockets in Mazu'ao Village. He also shared knowledge about rare species conservation with villagers and distributed brochures featuring the "State Grid Green Ark Program" and electrical safety tips. The staff from the station visited four administrative villages and over 50 households and aquaculture operators across Nanji Island that day.

Besides on-site publicity, State Grid Wenzhou Power Supply Company leveraged technology to support ecological protection. In recent years, the company promoted the "State Grid Green Ark Program", upgrading photovoltaic power stations and energy storage facilities on Nanji Island to build a zero-carbon microgrid for the reserve. Operating on a "photovoltaic + energy storage + intelligent control" model, the microgrid can enable full utilization of clean energy, providing 24/7 reliable green power for bird monitoring stations and ecological observation sites on the islands. "Previously, our monitoring equipment often shut down due to unstable power supply. With the zero-carbon microgrid, now we can collect real-time data on migratory bird activities and accurately track the breeding and migration patterns of the Chinese Crested Tern," said a researcher from the Administration of Nanji Island National Nature Reserve.

Upholding its corporate mission "Power Your Beautiful Life, Empower Our Beautiful China", State Grid Wenzhou Power Supply Company has integrated ecological protection into the entire process of its power grid development. It continues refining its "Power + Ecology" service model, optimizing power grid planning, promoting green energy, and conducting public welfare campaigns. Through these diverse efforts, green power has been embedded in every link of ecological protection, with specific actions to preserve lucid waters and lush mountains.
