Xiaogan, Hubei: Dynamically Deploying Mobile Charging Vehicles to Flexibly Support Rural Green Tourism

With the launch of the national "May Day" Culture and Tourism Consumption Week, the tourism market across the country continues to gain momentum, and rural green self-driving tours are also entering a travel peak. Addressing the "range anxiety" commonly felt by new energy vehicle owners, Xiaogan, Hubei has innovated its service model by bringing mobile charging vehicles into popular scenic spots, adding flexible and efficient support to the urban and rural charging network, and making green travel for tourists more secure and convenient.

Relying on its 24-hour charging monitoring platform, State Grid Xiaogan Power Supply Company closely monitors changes in traffic flow and charging load in key areas such as expressway service areas, rural scenic spots, and tourist loop routes. Through big data analysis, it predicts charging peaks for new energy vehicles. Once charging queues or load overload is detected at a charging station, it immediately initiates charging emergency support and precisely deploys mobile charging vehicles to the stations most in need, ensuring that charging services follow the traffic flow and serve tourists.

This mobile charging vehicle is equipped with a 30 kW high-efficiency power generation system, capable of charging a vehicle to about 80% within 1 hour. It can provide emergency energy replenishment for multiple new energy vehicles in a single day, effectively diverting pressure from fixed charging sites and alleviating queuing and congestion, thus becoming a "mobile energy station" for rural holiday travel.

To date, Xiaogan has built 856 charging stations and 1,761 charging piles, achieving full coverage of charging facilities in all towns and townships. With fixed charging piles firmly in place, mobile charging vehicles providing flexible support, and dedicated staff on duty, routine inspections, and door-to-door guidance services, villagers and tourists can not only access charging services but also use them with peace of mind and comfort.
