Nanyang, Henan: Special Campaign Strengthens Power Grid Safety

Recently, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has closely followed the arrangements for the special campaign to address root causes and tackle key work-safety issues. Adhering to the principles of source prevention and control, systematic governance, and clear accountability, the company is making every effort to ensure the stable operation of the power grid during the summer peak period.
The company has clarified safety responsibility checklists for all positions, forming a closed-loop management system with responsibilities assigned to and fulfilled by all employees. Focusing on key facilities such as main transformers, line corridors, and distribution transformer service areas, it has carried out full-coverage hazard inspections through UAV patrols, infrared temperature measurement, live-line testing, and manual inspections. For problems identified, the company has established a mechanism of one account for each hazard and time-bound rectification, ensuring no issue is left unresolved and no responsibility is left unassigned, so as to reduce equipment operation risks at the source.
In conjunction with National Work Safety Month, the company has organized a series of activities, including safety warnings in teams and emergency drills on site. Real-life cases are used to sound the alarm, while hands-on training helps improve emergency response capabilities. Technical experts have visited factory workshops, rural households, and farmland to inspect electricity hazards on the customer side and explain key precautions for safe electricity use in high temperatures, extending safety management to power users.
Going forward, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will continue to build on the achievements of the special campaign, improve the hierarchical risk management and control system, uphold the red line of work safety, and provide reliable power support for local development. (By Qin Yueren)
