This marks the return of the Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships to China after 14 years, and the first time the event has been held in western China, landing in Zunyi, Guizhou. It not only fills the gap in high-level international gymnastics competitions in Guizhou, but also serves multiple purposes in competitive selection, talent development, city promotion, and cultural tourism integration—serving as an important opportunity for Guizhou's sports sector to align with international standards.

The Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships are the premier annual continental gymnastics event in Asia, and also serve as a key warm-up and qualifying competition for Asian gymnasts preparing for the Nagoya Asian Games and the Rotterdam World Championships. The concurrent hosting of the senior and junior championships this year establishes a direct pathway between elite-level competition and the development of reserve talents, allowing junior athletes to gain continental-level experience by competing at senior standards, thereby building a strong talent pool for the long-term growth of Asian gymnastics.
