Intangible Cultural Heritage from Longhui, Hunan, Featured at Beijing Shaoyang Entrepreneurs Conference

Recently, the inaugural “Charming Shaoyang, Winning the Future Together” Shaoyang Entrepreneurs Thought-Sharing Session and the second general meeting of the fifth term of the Beijing Shaoyang Enterprise Chamber of Commerce were held in Beijing. Longhui County joined the event with two distinctive cultural IP assets—the national intangible cultural heritage item Tantou Woodblock New Year Paintings and the provincial intangible cultural heritage item Hua Yao Wuwa Mountain Songs—along with the county’s signature local products, showcasing its rich folk heritage and vibrant development momentum.

During the specialty product runway segment, Tantou Woodblock New Year Paintings, with a 400-year history, made an impressive appearance. Models slowly walked the runway holding exquisite New Year painting scrolls, fully presenting the art form’s rustic elegance, vivid colors, simplicity, and vitality. High-quality signature local products such as Longya lilies and honeysuckle were also on display, showing how culture empowers industry and how industry highlights local characteristics, while showcasing the achievements of Longhui’s distinctive industrial development.

During the cultural performance segment, the rich ethnic charm of the Hua Yao people captivated the audience. Six Hua Yao performers, dressed in exquisite and vibrant traditional attire, presented Hua Yao Wuwa mountain songs, vividly embodying the warm, sincere, bold, and free-spirited character of the Hua Yao people.

This showcase was a strong example of Longhui’s efforts to strengthen its cultural and tourism profile. Through immersive live presentations, the event presented Longhui’s intangible cultural heritage, folk customs, and industrial strengths in a multidimensional way, further enhancing the visibility and reputation of the county’s cultural and tourism brand.
