Millennia have passed along the Silk Road, yet Wuwei remains a vibrant hub where ancient folk customs and modern medical innovation converge. From June 23 to 24, the International Experience Ambassadors for the "Silk Road IP, Opportunities in China" International Online Communication Campaign visited Wuwei, where they immersed themselves in the deep and diverse cultural heritage of this ancient city.

On June 23, the event kicked off with a powerful and majestic performance of Liangzhou Gongguzi, a traditional drum dance. Huang Wenxing from Mexico and Yu Xinke from Russia learned the drumming movements under the guidance of an intangible cultural heritage inheritor. As the melodies of the hulusi (cucurbit flute), saxophone, and guzheng (zither) filled the air, the Chinese and international participants danced together to the music. In a local wellness town, the group practiced Tai Chi with graceful precision. As night fell, they gathered around a bonfire to join residents in a traditional Guozhuang dance, while a spectacular water-screen movie illuminated the night sky, bringing the enchanting charm of the Silk Road to life.

On June 24, the group visited the Wuwei Heavy Ion Radiotherapy Center, where they practiced Baduanjin—a qigong tradition dating back 800 years to the Northern Song Dynasty—to gain a deeper understanding of Eastern wellness philosophy. The Gansu Wuwei Tumour Hospital is home to heavy-ion diagnostic and therapeutic equipment developed with independent intellectual property rights. Through scale models and educational videos, the visitors explored the center's cutting-edge medical facilities, including its particle accelerator and intelligent inpatient management systems.
