As night falls, Huangguoshu Waterfall sheds its majestic daytime look and is adorned with dazzling lights and colors. Since the upgraded Huangguoshu night tour project was unveiled in 2026, this immersive experience—blending natural wonders with ethnic culture—has quickly become an iconic attraction in Guizhou's cultural tourism landscape. Since the beginning of 2026, inbound visitors to Huangguoshu Waterfall's night tour have increased by 210 percent year on year. Since the summer holiday began, family travel has surged, with July's family visitor flow increasing by more than 300 percent compared with the same period last year.

The night tour incorporates Buyi legends and stories, using modern stage design, lighting, and sound technologies to tell a moving story of young people meeting, getting to know each other, growing together, and protecting one another. Dressed in splendid traditional costumes, Buyi youths sing and dance, welcoming visitors from across the world with the most heartfelt ceremony. The 77.8-meter-high waterfall serves as a natural giant screen, where laser-created rainbows and holographic totem projections blend with water mist, creating a spectacle reminiscent of a cascading galaxy.

As a waterfall that can be viewed from six directions—above, below, front, back, left, and right—and experienced through sight, sound, and touch from inside the cave, Huangguoshu Waterfall offers not only breathtaking daytime scenery but also a completely different charm after dark. Moving forward, Huangguoshu Tourism Zone will continue to optimize its night tour offerings, improve supporting services, enrich nighttime cultural tourism products, and further unlock the potential of cultural tourism consumption, promoting the high-quality development of the cultural tourism sector.
