On August 19, vegetation was lush and the scenery picturesque deep in the Qilian Mountains, as a steady stream of visitors arrived in Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County in Wuwei, Gansu Province, to escape the summer heat and go sightseeing. To eliminate electrical safety hazards at tourism sites and ensure a stable and reliable power supply for cultural and tourism businesses, State Grid Wuwei Power Supply Company dispatched staff to major scenic areas to conduct electrical safety inspections, helping safeguard the busy summer tourism season through attentive power services.

Since the start of the summer tourism season, it has welcomed a steady stream of visitors from across China. Behind this thriving tourism scene, the company has provided proactive, targeted services by deploying staff to conduct comprehensive electrical safety inspections at cultural and tourism sites across Tianzhu. Reliable power services support the county's scenic attractions and the vibrant daily life of its Tibetan communities, while providing a strong electrical safety foundation for the high-quality development of all-for-one tourism.

To ensure reliable power during Tianzhu's peak tourism season, the company made advance arrangements and organized systematic inspections for electrical safety hazards. Inspectors combined drone-based line inspections with ground-based infrared thermographic checks. They examined, section by section, transmission lines around scenic areas, distribution transformers, and cable branch boxes, focusing on outdoor hazards such as vegetation encroaching on power lines, overheated equipment connections, and damaged line insulation.

They also visited tourist service centers and Tibetan homestays to inspect indoor distribution boxes, residual-current devices (RCDs), decorative lighting strips, and wiring for high-power kitchen appliances. Problems including unauthorized connections, poorly arranged wiring, and overloaded circuits were rectified on site. Each hazard was logged and tracked through to resolution, ensuring that every issue identified was rectified and closed out.

The inspection provided a comprehensive overview of the operational status of power facilities supporting Tianzhu's cultural tourism sector and effectively mitigated electrical safety risks during the peak tourism season. Going forward, State Grid Wuwei Power Supply Company will establish a regular inspection program for cultural and tourism sites in Tianzhu, increase the frequency of special inspections of power lines and equipment serving scenic areas, and refine plans for upgrading the plateau's rural power grid.
