Jinhua Upgrades “e-Station Easy Travel” System to Support Holiday Travel for New Energy Vehicle Owners

As October arrives, the country is in a festive mood. During the National Day holiday, cultural and tourism consumption continues to grow, with self-driving trips becoming a popular choice for holiday travel. As green and low-carbon lifestyles gain wider acceptance, travel by new energy vehicles (NEVs) is also on the rise. Safe, convenient and comfortable charging services have become an important part of ensuring smooth holiday travel, enhancing the tourism experience and meeting people's everyday needs.

In response to concentrated traffic and visitor flows, rising loads on charging facilities and tight supply and demand for charging services during peak periods over the National Day holiday, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company has comprehensively upgraded its "e-Station Easy Travel" charging support system, focusing on key travel and service bottlenecks. At charging stations along expressways and in major scenic areas, the company completed comprehensive inspections of charging equipment in advance and carried out closed-loop rectification of identified safety hazards. It has also updated operation and maintenance records and increased the frequency of on-site inspections to ensure the safe and stable operation of charging facilities. Acting as a "charging service steward" for cultural tourism, the company is also providing public education on charging safety and delivering more attentive, standardized and regular services to enhance visitors' travel experience and sense of security.

In addition, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company is expanding smart charging applications and upgrading its convenient service offerings. Dongguan Charging Station has established a distinctive "Charging Museum", integrating charging, battery swapping and photovoltaic power generation to create a multi-functional new energy service facility. Guangnan Charging Station has upgraded its "Peace of Mind e-Home" convenience station, stocking drinking water, emergency medicines, scenic-area guides and other essentials to provide visitors waiting to charge their vehicles with a comfortable place to rest.

To ease charging pressure during holiday peaks, the company has deployed its self-developed energy-storage mobile charging robots, transforming charging services from the traditional model of "drivers looking for charging piles" to an intelligent model in which "charging piles come to the vehicles". With a single tap, users can summon a robot to locate their vehicle, connect to it accurately and provide unattended charging, helping ease peak-period charging pressure. The robots can also use energy storage for peak shaving and valley filling, helping smooth short-term fluctuations in electricity demand during the holiday and strengthening power supply with smart energy technologies.

Going forward, the company will continue to strengthen the "e-Station Easy Travel" service brand, improve its smart charging service system and better meet the public's growing demand for green mobility. During the National Day holiday, it will provide comprehensive inspections, round-the-clock support and convenient services across a range of scenarios, further strengthening the power support network for green travel and providing reliable energy support for the high-quality development of the local cultural and tourism economy.
