Recently, on the banks of Bailong River in Sandui Town, Lizhou District, Guangyuan City, golden rapeseed flowers have been competing to bloom, demonstrating a vibrant scene of spring. Viewed from the air, the earth is like a golden carpet, with the green water of Bailong River passing through it. The terraced rapeseed flowers complement each other with distant mountains and near waters, as well as the towns and the villages, forming a unique landscape and pastoral scenery.
Since 2014, Sandui Town has been actively encouraging farmers to grow this plant. Besides the increase in the villagers' incomes, the plant also led the masses on both sides of Bailong River to develop rural tourism, which has become a powerful driving force for poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
In recent years, Lizhou District of Guangyuan has closely focused on the idea of integrated development of agricultural tourism and business tourism. In Sandui Town alone, more than 500 mu (about 0.33 square kilometers) of modern tourist agricultural parks have been built, with 12 farmhouses developed, and more than 100 people nearby employed. The average annual income of the local households increased by more than 5,000 yuan.
