Jiaozuo, Henan: Quality Power Services Boost Stable Production and Income for Specialty Crops

Recently, inside the fig greenhouses of Nanlinquan Village, Zhaohe Town, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, the greenhouses were warm, with young fruits growing vigorously on the branches. Staff from the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company visited the site to conduct special inspections on greenhouse electricity safety and provide on-site assistance. Their reliable power services helped the local characteristic planting industry achieve stable yields and higher incomes.

"Recently, the temperature control equipment in the greenhouses has been running at full capacity day and night. I've been worrying about electrical failures affecting fruit growth," said grower Zhou Fangjie to the visiting staff.

In recent years, Nanlinquan Village has actively developed its characteristic planting sector. Ten standardized solar greenhouses now serve as a key pillar of income for the villagers. Currently, the fig greenhouses are in a critical winter management period, with rising electricity demand for temperature control, irrigation, and other equipment.

Given the high temperature and humidity inside greenhouses, conditions that accelerate wire aging and increase leakage risks, the staff prioritized the core electrical areas for inspection. They carefully inspected distribution boxes, ground fault circuit interrupters, irrigation pumps, lighting circuits, and other facilities. Checks were made for standard wiring and proper installation, and leakage protection devices were tested for sensitivity. Issues such as damaged insulation and inadequate waterproofing of sockets were addressed on the spot. Meanwhile, the staff provided hands-on guidance to farmers on the correct operation of electrical equipment and explained essential safety knowledge and basic troubleshooting methods for humid environments.

Moving forward, the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company will continue to focus on the power needs of rural characteristic industries and integrate greenhouse planting, agricultural product processing, and other farming-related sectors into routine inspection plans.
