"Tri - Color of Dahe" On Air Now

The dance named "Tri - Color of Dahe" performed by Luoyang Song and Dance Theater amazed the audience in the sixth episode of the dance variety show "Millennium Dance" at 19:30 on December 11. The prime-time program featuring dances in Chinese style has been jointly launched by Henan Satellite TV and bilibili. 

Tri - colored glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty symbolizes the robust development of politics, economy and culture during the flourishing period of the Tang Dynasty. As a true reflection of the Tang Dynasty, it has proved the Silk Road to be a road of business and trade, a road of peace and national integration, and a road of culture.

"Tri - Color of Dahe" has highlighted the charm of tri - glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty by showing the process of turning ordinary clay into immortal works of art, hence presenting the thought-provoking philosophy and the inspiring national spirit.

The dancers’ images came from figurines of tri - colored glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty unearthed in Luoyang, including those of females, warriors, generals, artisans and even horses. These vivid images of people and creatures reflect the life in the prosperous Tang Dynasty more than 1,000 years ago, and the great creativity of artists.

In the sixth episode of "Millennium Dance", the dancers from Luoyang Song and Dance Theater presented their performances in an innovative manner and took the audience back to the prosperous Tang Dynasty, so that they could feel the pulse, learn the history and the ancient culture of the Central Plains in the era.
